All hail the king

Reblog this pair whenever I see them. Such a waste of an amazing horse and an amazing partnership. I hope he’s jumping jumpies up in horsey heaven now and I hope that Eric feels Hickstead with him every time he goes out and does the best he can with whatever other horse isn’t his beloved Hickstead. RIP

The rider was okay- her helmet was the only reason she lived.

the horse wasn’t paying any attention to the rider.

Um oww

Holy shit.

If you watch the entire video you realize the horse wasn’t paying attention. So glad this girl was okay, seriously.

if you watch the video, the first guy that gets to her moves her head
NEVER EVER FUCKING DO THAT OR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN.
MOVING HER HEAD/NECK COULD PARALYZE HER OR SOMETHING.
PLEASE NEVER MOVE SOMEONE IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING.

I hate watching bad falls like this, but that last part is super important. PSA.

I haven’t seen the whole video, but this from this gif it looks like she is holding her horses head to the outside and then let go right at the jump. I don’t care if this is what she was actually doing, but this is why people neeeeed to give their horse their head up to a fence. I don;t even think this horse even knew the fence was coming until one stride before it, and yet he still tried to do it, so honestly, kudos to the horse. Glad the girl was ok though.

She left a stride out and leaned… the horse couldn’t make it across.
